Obed Matundura Ogega Programme Officer, Post-doctoral fellowships Programme, The AAS
Ogega joined The AAS in May 2017 and works as a Programme Officer for
the Post-doctoral fellowships programme. As a climate scientist,
Ogega’s work and research interests are geared towards contributing to
sustainable development in the phase of global warming and climate
change. Prior to joining The AAS, Ogega worked with CORDIO East Africa
and the Embassy of Sweden in Nairobi. Out of office, Ogega is an
award-winning photographer keen on highlighting environmental challenges
and promoting environmental conservation efforts through photography.
He holds a master’s degree in Climate Change Adaptation and is a PhD
candidate investigating east Africa’s intraseasonal rainfall variability
for sustainable development.
Eva Kiragu Programme Officer, FLAIR
Eva joined The AAS in November 2018 as the Future Leaders African Independent Research (FLAIR) Programme Officer. She coordinates grantee activities as well as carrying out research for the post-doctoral programme. She is an experiences grants administrator with 10+ years of experience in the fields of post-graduate education and agriculture.
